MD3200i Controller Removed

Best thing to do is to serial port into the bottom controller and see what its doing.

But as the system thinks its already gone you could try reseating it and see what happens and watch the boot process to see any errors.

Also theres the event log to check

thank you for the reply.
i ordered a console cable for it, it has a specific one (apparently hard to find in a decent price ).
checked the Vdisks and they have moved to controller 0.

in the logs -storage array profile - it shows as removed as well.
from the major event log cant see anything specific about controller 1

in the controller drive error can see:

Retrieved on RAID Controller Module 1 at Not Available

Error 1011 - A management connection to the RAID controller module in slot 1 must be defined to complete this operation.

If you are managing this RAID controller module directly through the Ethernet (out-of-band), you must define its management connection (IP address or DNS/Network name) using the Add Storage Array option.

If you are managing this RAID controller module through a host agent (in-band), verify that all physical paths to the RAID controller module are connected and operational. Then run the hot_add utility on the affected host, and then Refresh or Rescan the Host.

if you reseat the missing controller and plug the serial cable do you get any output?

got the console cable  and checked the controller .
it was completley dead so replaced it with another controller.

both controllers are now online.

but got some errors in the recovery guru.

Previously you had a post before on Not on preferred path issue on your MD3200i in Mar, I believed that you have already followed the recovery guru steps provided on this prompt now? Just to confirmed you have already redistributed VD?

yea , it was on a different MD3200 .

the issue in the screenshot above i was referring is the physical disks loss of path consistency 

and the degraded path.
