MD3200i replacement controller

I had a controller fail, so I replaced it with a spare. MDSM still shows the old controller, and doesn't recognize the new one. Is there any way to kick start this? I've asked MDSM to recheck, but it gives the same results.

Hello RPerrySMM,

Do you have the serial cable that came with your MD3200i? If you do then what I would do is to connect the serial cable and see if the controller is booting or if it is getting stuck in a boot loop. Here are the setting so that you can connect to the serial port on the controller for your MD3200i.

Startup a terminal emulation program like putty, teraterm, minicom or hyperterminal using these terminal settings (115200-8-n-1).

Pull the controller from the system & wait about a minute then insert it back into your MD3200i and you should see the controller boot process.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
