PowerVault LTO4-120HH error code 6 help
I have an error code 6 on my tape unit and I can't get the tape out. Currently a cleaning tape is inside of the unit. Any Ideas on how to clear the error and get the tape out?

Hello okellymk,
What you can try is to hold the eject button on the drive for about 20 seconds until all the lights flash and then release it & that will have the drive try to go to the home position and should rewind the media & eject the cleaning media. if that doesn’t get the media to eject then what you can do is to try & flash the firmware on the drive and see if that will cause the media to be ejected. If that still fails to get the media out then you will need to remove the data cable from the tape drive and when you power on the drive then you will need to hit the eject button 3 times in 2 seconds & see if that will cause the media to come out. If all of those fail then the only way to get the media out the drive is to take the drive apart.
