Is there a way to see the current HDD health like SMART data or something like that?

You would have a couple different options to monitor and verify status of the drives.
You could use MDSM (Modular Disk Storage Manager), which depending on your firmware you may need an older version than the one here.
You also have the option of using OpenManage Essentials, which can be found here.
Lastly, you could simply use SNMP traps with 3rd party tools.
