Poweredge 2800 power connector
Can someone help me. We purchased a poweredge 2800 server without a DAT72 backup drive. We purchased an internal HP DAT72 backup drive and now wish to install it. When we opened the server case, we found that there were no power connectors. We rang the dell technical support but they were unable to assist.
Can anyone suggest a solution, surley Dell must supply power connectors with the PSU installed in the server!

After weeks of trying, I have managed to get the parts. The part number is 440-10812 TBU Internal cable DAT72,DLTVS,LTO1 Kit.
The DAT drive is installed and working great.

Im in the same boat. I never dreamed that I would need some special parts to put in a tape drive. Scheduled a time to bring the server down and did so only to find it was all a waste of my time. No rails or power adapter. Ive called Dell many times at many dif numbers. I get transfered all over the place, placed on hold and get disonnected. I have emailed dif departments only to be told to call the same places above. I could care less about the rails really. I can make do with other parts to make it fit. Its the power that I absolutly need and I have no way of getting it.
Dell, you are forcing me to come thru you but even when I try I can not get what I need.
Anyone got any help for me on this? I have a PE2800 server and need to install a tape drive in my bay.
Thanks
here is another threed about this problem
