QL2300 users on Windows 2000/2003: Patch avail for bluescreens

After recently taking the QL2300 driver up to 9.0.0.12, the 6650s attached to a CX600 began to bluescreen on a Stop xd1 IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL on the QLogic driver.  After several attempts to resolve the issue, our last incident on 11/18 reminded the server tech that a Windows patch was out for SCSIPORT.SYS.  A review of the crash dump pointed confirmed the SCSIPORT driver was behind the BSODs.

On Dell Support Downloads, there is a SCSIPORT patch listed for Windows2000 and Windows 2003 downloads.  It's based off Microsoft KB Q883114.

I'm not sure you're referring to the right Microsoft article. The title on that article is:

"STOP 0x0000007B: INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE" error message when you use a USB CD-ROM device to install Windows Server 2003 or Windows 2000".

Somehow I doubt you're installing Windows from a USB CD-Rom judging from your notes (if you were doing this, I would imagine that you would have mentioned this).

Nope, this was after the servers were up and running and we just updated the driver (via a network copy).  I noticed the odd label for the Q article, but again, this is what the patch from Dell refers back to...
