md1420 multihost jbod

hi all,

can one use a MD1420 (similar to older md1220) in unified mode as a jbod on 2 linux hosts so both hosts see all disks and possibly use MPIO.

and with "see all disks" i mean that both hosts can use all disks as they see fit , and not that only one host has access to all disks (and upon failover of the host only then the other one can use the disks).

i found a document for windows storage spaces that has a layout with "2 Servers Each with 2 HBAs in Failover Cluster Configuration with 2 JBODs and MPIO", so i guess it's possible. it would be nice to see someone confirm this (eg from experience).
