md3220i & powerconnect 5524

Hi

Just in the process of setting up an MD3220i foor use with hyperv and failover. The switches are dell powerconnect 5524's (pair). Setting up this kind of thing before using an Ax4-5 and 5424 switches the advice was to disable iscsi optimisation on the switches - does anybody know of any documented resources or advice ie is this still relevant ?.

A pointer to more information regarding flow control settings etc would be graefully received.

Thanks in advance

If your switches are 100% dedicated to iSCSI traffic (no LAN or other traffic going through them), disabling iSCSI optimization is still recommended (no matter what switch you have).
