replace Pool B with bigger drives on MD3220i?
Hello, we have an MD3200i with 12 500GB drives in Raid 5. We have bought 4 1TB drives because we want to increase our size. We have 2 Pools, each with 1/2 of the total space available. We do not need to retain the data in Pool B but the data in Pool A is sensitive and needs to be intact. How can we remove the drives in Pool B, add the 4 1TB drives to it without losing Pool A?
Any help is appreciated.

Hello Nalvenin,
Yes you can remove Disk Pool B without harming Disk Pool A. Here is a link to the Administrator guide for your MD3220i & if you look on page 104 it explains how to remove a Disk Pool. http://downloads.dell.com/manuals/common/md32xx_md36xx_administrator%20guide_en%20us.pdf
Also since you are adding space if you look on page 101 it explains how to add unassigned space to a Disk Pool.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
