where to download MDSM (Modular Disk Storage Manager)?

MDSM allows you to manage the MD3000 and MD3200/3600 series PowerVault SANs. It doesn't manage anything other than those.

The link above for MD3000 is BROKEN! Why is it that almost EVERY ONE of the Dell-provided links is broken! This is the 3rd time in 1 week I have found this, and then someone has to go and find a more current "non-broken" link.

And why does ANY of this have to depend on some 'driver piece' in the URL link?

Also, the 2nd link, "Dell-Sam L" says it is for MD3000 but, in the link, it has "3200i" as part of the link??

I have an MD3000 and the PC that had the MDSM was removed from the network.  Can I install the MDSM on a new PC (windows XP VM or 7 pro) and access the working MD3000?  I know one drive has failed and need to replace and configure.

Yes you can install MDSM on a VM & as long as the VM is on the same network as the management port for your MD3000 then you can manage it.
