Dell Precision Tower 3620 M.2 SSD Securement
Hello all. I have a Dell Precision Tower 3620. I am attempting to install a M.2 SSD on the MB. There is a "standoff" already installed in the MB. Dell has told me via chat that this is a M2x3.5mm screw. I have very gently tried about 5 different known good M2 screws, and they do not come close to fitting.
Does anyone have any insight or similar experience I can draw from with this?
Thanks

Hi @Yerfdog68,
Check out this video starting from 7'02".
Do you have spare/unused laptop? If yes, try to dismantle some hard drive screw from it and test on this m.2 slot. It often do the trick for me ^^"

As an alternative you can mount an NVME M2 on a PCI "holder" card rather than the motherboard. Search for:
NVME Adapter PCIe x16 with Heat Sink, 6amLifestyle M.2
I paired it with a Samsung 970 Evo 1TB and after a BIOS change it is the boot drive. The Samsung software will clone your windows folders to the M2 stick
