Try the mentioned reset BIOS method first.

Hi @uco73 ,

You may use tools like CrystalDiskInfo to see if hard drive running at an abnormal high temperature. It affects HDD fan speed.

Thanks for reply. HDD temperature is below 30. No need fan. But why fan is too fast and noisy?

Hi @uco73 ,

You may then check out this thread regarding a similar case on T5500. The questioner solve it himself by resetting fan power cable + BIOS reset (what he mentioned as "removed battery" actually stand for the CMOS battery, that leads to a BIOS reset).

I have A18 BIOS. There are no adjustments anywhere for fan in BIOS. Do I return the old bios? A17 or older?

I do clear CMOS. Nothing. I was trying all BIOS, from A01 to A18. It's a same. Nevermind. I don't need this fan.

Hello to everyone. My motherboard is now in original T5500 case. Fan speed is now OK. Fan noisy has dissapeared.
