964 Printer Error - Help

I replaced both ink cartridges just last week. Yesterday I went to print some items and only the color portions would print. The black was not printed. I get a message that says no cartridge installed. I try to do a "clean printing heads" and get a message that no cartridge installed. I have tried everything I can think of to get it to work and am at a loss to figure this out. I've ended up removing the black cartridge and using the color to print both color and black. Anyone have any ideas???

Dell Series 5 ink cartridges have a sensor in them that cannot be reset. Article on refilling Dell ink cartridges.

 

Dell Series 5 ink cartridges can be purchased at Staples, Walmart or Dell's Website.

 

It's possible to get a Dell Series 5 ink cartridge with a bad sensor. I would that these back to the place of purchase for a replacement or a refund.
