DELL 968 Job Status Window Interface stopt working
Last week i upgraded my desktop PC with a new processor and moved up to Windows 7
I've downloaded the latests Windows 7 driver and installation software for my Dell 968 aal in one printer
The printer is connected by Ethernet to the network at home
When i start printing a document, there's a popup windong Saying "Job Status Window interfce stopt working"
When i click at the choice "Stop programm" , again the questin pops up
When i click fot the second time the messages disappearse, and the printer is start printing
and completes the whole job without further problems
How can i get rid of these messages so that the printjob starts imidiatly

Just now I have been able to go foward the steps you detail me, but it's not working... I still get the message when scaning any document "Job Status Window interface stopt working".
The only work around is to close the window before it stops my scaning... This is particulary anoying when I have to scan many pages...
Anyway, I will be expecting a solution sometime, somewhere :)

Did I have you try installing the Spanish Dell 968/968w All-in-One Printer Windows 7 64-bit drivers? Did I also have you try the Language Solution for Dell Inkjet Printers?

I did the spanish Instalation as you posted. For the second part "Language Solution for Dell Inkjet Printers" it's not possible, cause, the path is actually in English
(CMD > Dir * )

What I do notice is that I have the Dell software in the two paths, but with different info ( as suggested in "Language Solution for Dell Inkjet Printers" probably having the instalation spread in two different paths could be the problem ... I'm not sure ) but check :

The path would be...
(C:\Program Files\Dell 968\Drivers)
If you don't have a Spanish folder, right click and create folder. Name it Spanish. Copy everything fro m the English folder and paste it in the Spanish folder.
Go back to the drivers, then install it again. The printer should install.
Virus programs and firewalls will block communications.

I found your thread from over year ago when investigating my own issues... I have a 948 and Windows 8, but I have the same symptom:
When I try to print, I get "Job Status Window Interface has stopped working" and I have to close the program TWICE and then it works and just fine. But, alas, I keep getting the errors.
Did you ever get yours to work? If so, please pass on what you did to stop the messages.

Rather than playing the usual time-wasting uninstall/reinstall/repeat dance, perhaps someone needs to tell us how to disable **JUST** the "job status window interface". Everything else in the driver works fine, so if I could just stop it from bringing up the status window, it would be OK. Don't want to make a major project of enabling the printer; I just have it on a USB connection to my work computer at a home office, and for that matter the only reason I'm using it is because the secured VPN for the work computer prevents it from seeing my regular wireless printer.

Start, control panel, devices and printers, right click on your printer, left click printing preferences, advance, more options.
Click on never show.
