Dell 1230c replacement roller
Our 1230c has just died. In the back, there is a roller with a heavy-duty black plastic film on top of a foam roller. From what I can find online, this is not the "transfer" roller that is mounted to the back panel which folds down. Is this roller available? Does it have a "proper" name?

Hi sxfo,
If I am correct, you are referring to the part shown in the image below (with the black-bold arrow):
This part is not available a separate unit. For this you need to replace the whole printer unit (Dell Part # U952K).

Hi,
Sorry to revive an old post.
I'm also having this problem, and from your image I'm not sure if thats the correct item. From some looking around, looks like this is known as a "Transfer Roller" (Part number: D1230-Z3 ?) and its accessible from the front, and viewable if you open the top panel.
Is this an item that Dell sells? We'd like to avoid buying from 3rd party sites.
