Dell 305w Printer Imaging Toolbox does not work with Windows 8.1

Connected my 305w printer to my 3646 computer using a usb connection and the printer functions as expected. However, in order to utilize scanning features with the printer I had to download the 305w Dell Imaging Toolbox using the disc I was sent by Dell with the 305w printer. However, the OS systems contained on the disc are only XP and Vista so the 3646 won't open the Imaging Toolbox. What can I do to fix this problem?
