Dell 966 AIO won't print with Windows 7 on Dimension E521

Can anyone help me with a printer problem on WIndows 7?  I have a Dell Dimension E521 (it's 32 bit), and I upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 about a month ago.  The printer is a Dell 966 AIO, and it doesn't respond at all.  I know the printer itself is fine, as it works well if I switch the cable to an old laptop running WIndows XP.

I tried downloading the latest driver from the Dell site, the one for Windows 7, but it appears to be the same as the one for Vista.  (Is there a newer driver I missed?)  In any case I installed the new driver and I still have the same problem.  Is there something I can do?
