Dell 966

I have had this printer for about a month.  I have had to get tech support to take over my computer to fix problems about 5  times now.  On the fifth time they are sending me a new wireless card.  My main questions is on scanning.  Anyone know how to fix it when I scan a form that has been typed and the answers are written in by me.  When scanned,  the scanned paper is in only half english.  The typed part is fine but the stuff I had wirren in isnt.  Any clues on how to fie this?

Sounds as though the "OCR" feature of the 966 is trying to convert handwritten characters into text.
Normally OCR is used to scan a page back into a text document for apps like Word.
You might want to see if you can disable the OCR feature or request the 966 to scan as a picture.

What is the OCR  and how do I disable it?

OCR is Optical Character Recognition.
I do not have my manual handy (it and the printer were borrowed) and I can't open the online manual to see what you need to do.
If yours is only a month old maybe you can locate the manual.
