Dell V313 printer on MAC OS 10.7X
I recently purchased a Dell Printer V313 for my daughter to use in school, now She bought a new MAC that is running MAC OS 10.7X but I cannot get the printer to work on this new computer. I have gone to the download drivers site and the drivers only support OS10.6, is there a way to make this work or did I waste my money on the Dell Printer?

cmlrc,
Dell V313 All-In-One Printer (Mac Os X 10.7 Lion Driver)When installing the printer, choosing the S300 to S400 series from that set of installed drivers seems to work best for my V313

guinnessandme,
Your Dell Printer was made for Dell by Lexmark. The link to the drivers above will work with Mac Lion.

So i installed the lexmark driver. Going to the system preferences under printer, I add my dell printer. It then asks me to select "print using". There are many lexmarks to choose from so which one do I select??
thanks again.

Hi,
I had this same issue. After some research I ended up choosing the S300 to S400 series as the V313 is very similar to S305 apparently. So far I have had no issues - works fine on my Macbook Air on 10.7.

Mike,
I have listed that the Mac drivers for the V313w Printer are (Mac Os X 10.7 Lion Driver)
Posting them in this thread will help others find the drivers.

Mike,
Thanks for sharing. If you could provide the link, then other members can use you link to download the drivers.

Yes, but that link provides installation for the drivers for the entire range of Lexmark printers, not all of which work with the printer as I found.
When installing the printer, choosing the S300 to S400 series from that set of installed drivers seems to work best for my V313.
Regards,
Mike.

The link is as you said, but you choose the S300 to S400 series when installing the printer. Your link installs drivers for all lexmark printers.

I get a error message after installing the S300 driver from lexmark: Lexmark S300-S400 Series can’t be installed on this computer. This version of Mac OS X is not supported. Please visit www.lexmark.com for an updated driver.

The list of drivers drop down bar was no longer there for me to choose so thats why I downloaded the S300-400 but I guess like you said it was for the wrong OS. I eventually restarted the computer and the drop down list appeared again. I chose S300-400 lexmark and worked smoothly.
Thanks for your help on this one.

guinnessandme,
Glad you got it working! :emotion-21: Thanks for posting back.
The other members provided the information, I just saved the information in the Information about Dells Inkjet, All-In-One Printers (Stickie) so I could provide the information to others.
Take care,
Rick
