Dell V525W AIO Printer-Control Panel Query

I am moving and need  to pack up my new V525W printer.  Problem is I cannot get the Control Panel down so that I can repack the printer in the carton in which it arrived.

Nothing is written in the paper  manual or the on-line manual about this particular action.  I even spent at least 1+ hours on the telephone with a Dell Printer Tech  to no avail, although he tried very hard to get me an answer.

So, if anyone out there has the answer, I'd appreciate hearing it.    Thank you.

cartons,

Read page 18 in the Dell V525 Printer Manual. <ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell>

Thank you for your suggestion to look at page 18 in the manual.  The problem is there is nothing under the Control Panel or at the edges of the Control panel that I can press, push, pull, slide, release or whatever to get anything moving.

I am assuming you have one of these printers.  Can you describe to me what the heck I am looking for and about where it is in relation to the top of the Control Panel?   Thank you.

To RockStar Rick and Brandon 1194:

That solved the problem!  The Control Panel is now collapsed and I am so grateful to both of you...to Rick for sending queries to  his group of experts out there and to Brandon for solving the mystery.  You guys are great.  This was my first foray into Forums and I feel very lucky.  You have saved the day for me  Thank you very much.  Maureen

Maureen,

Thanks to Brandon 1194, you can now collapse the control panel.

Enjoy you move, moving is not a fun task.

Take care,

Rick

put yu hand under the panel you should feel a curved plastic back .....just hold the panel and push on plastic back

don't try and push on the panel and force it in in cause it will break push on the plastic underside and it wil close easily you think your doing it wrong and your applying alot of force you should stop cause it will break

Hello KREPPERS,

Please review Rick's post above where he mentions page 18 in the user guide. These are the steps needed.
