Hi Raymond,

Few steps mentioned below may help resolve the issue. Since you have already checked for physical obstructions and not found any, first try powering off the printer and powering it on again. If it does not make a difference, try resetting to factory defaults.

  • From the operator panel, use the left and right Arrow buttons to scroll to SETUP, and then press the Select button .
  • Use the left and right Arrow buttons to scroll to Defaults, and then press the Select button .
  • Use the left and right Arrow buttons to scroll to Set Defaults, and then press the Select button .
  • Use the left and right Arrow buttons to scroll to Use Factory, and then press the Select button .
  • Settings are reset to factory defaults.

You can avoid most jams and misfeeds by following these guidelines:

When adjusting the paper guides, do not pull on both the guides simultaneously. When you move one paper guide, the other one automatically adjusts to the new position.

Do not force the paper into the printer. You should place the paper flat against the paper support surface, and the edges should be flush against the paper guides.

Use media that follows the printer's media guidelines.
Make sure that the media is properly loaded in the input tray.Do not overload the input tray.Do not remove media from the input tray while printing.Flex, fan, and straighten the paper before loading.Do not use creased, damp, or curled paper.Orient the media according to the instructions for the printer.
