Dirt under scanner glass on Dell 2355dn - How to Clean?

I take care of several Dell 2355dn printer/scanner and have been happy with the performance. One of them starting showing streaks in the scans so I cleaned the glass as recommended. Then I noticed the dust and streaks were *under* the glass. I don't see any cleaning procedure for that in the manual. Any suggestions?
