Epson X105 Cannot install

I am trying to install an Epson printer on a recently purchased Dell product (Vostro W/Vista-Home Basic.) During the installation process the device is not recognized by my computer. I have sucessfully installed the printer on a older E Machine with XP. Have contacted Dell, Epson and Microsoft with no solution. Can anyone advise?
