My Dell 926 All-In-One won't turn on.

I've never had problems with my printer.  But today, it simply won't turn on.  I tried plugging into another outlet.  I disconnected the cable from the printer, and notice there is a light on the power pack that is not on.  I assume that means the cord/adapter is not working.  I know this printer is old, but is there any source for these anywhere?  I really don't want to buy a new printer right now.

Hi Mtngoat,

I can understand electronic devices can create confusion when they do not work the way they are designed for. I appreciate your time in trying to fix the printer by yourself.

I would like you to try the below mentioned steps before coming to a conclusion:

Unplug the power cord, adapter from the printer, press and hold the power button on the printer for 20 seconds. This will remove the static power from the printer.

Please try a good adapter and power cable and check. If the problem persists the printer needs to be replaced.

In case the printer has active warranty, please private message the system service tag, contact number and registered owner’s name.

Thanks!  I am out of warranty, but for now, the printer is working again.  Hopefully, it will last until I am ready to replace both computer and printer.

OK, my printer has been working for the past 10 days, but has quit again.  Just as before, it won't turn on.  The light on the AC adapter is not on.  I tried unplugging it and holding the power button down, then plugging back in, but nothing happens.  I'm back to thinking the power cord is shot.  I assume there's no supplier for these?

 Hi Mtngoat,

Yes, the problem is with the power adapter and the power cord and they need to be changed. Please visit a local electronic store to purchase it. The part numbers are: Power cord part#T4288, Power adapter part# W9424.

Refer this link if you want to purchase it online: http://bit.ly/TpeUuq
