Printer configuration for 3115CN using hostname does not work.

I have DELL-3115CN. It was used at home behind the router using DHCP. I have setup hostname for this printer and I was able to print to this printer using its hostname.

I moved this printer to new house (new router but still using DHCP), now I can't print using its hostname. The only way I can now get it to work is if I use IP Address.

At my first home, I never had this issue. At new house, I can see the printer hostname in the router setup page under "Connected Devices", but I can't ping from my laptop to printer using hostname. I have laptop, desktop, and this printer connected to that router. Laptop and desktop can see (and ping) each other by their hostname, but they can't ping printer using printer's hostname.

Reading other similar posts, I thought may be this printer is not capable of registering with DNS using hostname, but then it was working at my first house. Further the router seems to recognize printer's hostname.

What am I missing?
