Problem installing and using Dell 725 color printer
Hi,
I am new to the forum and hope someone can help me resolve a problem installing and using a 725 color printer.
I found the drivers on the Dell ste and installed, but still get prompted to install on each login. There appears to be a problem in unziping the folder resulting in the following 'Windows script host' error message
When trying to print I get the message Incorrect port detected. I have checked that the USB ports are enabled and working however.
It seems to be a PC rather than Dell printer problem? Any advice would be much appreciated,

Andy,
Try running Finding System Information REMOVE YOUR PRODUCT ID and post the rest of the information back here.
Also tell me the virus programs anf firewall you're using.

Andy,
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print jobs in the queue.
Disconnect the printer.
Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.
Restart your computer. Make sure the printer was removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
Download and install the Vista 32-bit drivers. You should get a message, then printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on)
