Red Will Not Print V305W

I have a V305 wireless all in one printer. A while ago it stopped printing red. I just assumed it was the ink cartridge and bought replacements at Office Max. When I installed the new cartridges, I got the same problem. Black, blue and yellow will print fine but no red. I thought that it may be a problem with the non-Dell cartridges since they are never able to show the ink levels. So I went to the Dell website and purchased the Dell brand ink cartridges ($98!). I installed them and I still have the issue. Everything is aligned properly and everything else prints fine. Just no red.

Hi Satterda,

It might be an issue with the Printhead. Please perform the below mentioned steps which might help:

  • Select a higher print quality from the printer software.
  • Run a Deep clean from the maintenance mode (run the deep clean at least twice until the print quality improves).
  • Clean the Printhead and reinstall it. Please refer to the User Guide for the steps.
  • Remove and reinstall the ink cartridges.
