SMB Path Error 031-530 on e525w Scanning

I am having trouble scanning to a network folder from my Dell E525w All-In-One. The network folder is a SMB (Samba) share on my Ubuntu Mate 16.04 laptop. I get this message on my printer display:

SMB Error

031-530

SMB Path Error

I don't know what that error message means. It may be something wrong with the configuration of the SMB share on my laptop or the SMB setup on my printer, but I can't tell what the issue is based on the message.

What does the error message mean, specifically?

Does anyone have experience scanning from a E525w (or other printer) to a Linux laptop (in particular Ubuntu Mate 16.04)?
