Trying to scan on a dell 1135 to a mac

Question

I have a dell 1135 printer hooked to the internet through an ethernet connection.  I can print to the printer with no problem with a mac, and I can print & scan to IBM compatible computers, but I am trying to scan to a Mac and after I install the dell drivers I don't see what I have to run to be able to scan with the Mac.  Is this possible to do or am I just missing something?

I believe that it is possible and you just have to run image capture and it should see the printer and allow you to scan from the computer, not sure if you can scan from the printer side.
