Ubuntu and Airprint support for 1355cnw?
I'm thinking about getting a 1355cnw but before I do, I need to find out:
- Are Ubuntu printer drivers for the 1355cnw? If not, are there equivalent/compatible Xerox drivers that I can load?
- What are the plans for Airprint support for this printer?

Glad to hear that you got the problem isolated and (sort-of) fixed. It is interesting that you required a "downgrade". Thank you for posting your discoveries; I got so frustrated at the lack of information for this printer and Linux. Hopefully others will benefit too. Happy printing!

Tried that. My iPad reports no "AirPrint Printers Found". Does this require a specific rev of Ubuntu? I'm on 10.04 (Lucid).

CUPS servers before version 1.4.6 will need DNS based Service Discovery to be be configured manually. I assume that AirPrint automatically searches for printers. If there is no way to manually enter the ip address (that of your Ubuntu Box), the you will have to configure DNS based Service Discovery. Here is a helpful link:

Found some instructions for 10.10

WIth this, I see the printer on my iPad and can send the job to the avahi daemon, but when I send the job, it never makes it to cups from avahi. I've looked through the error logs in /var/log and nothing stands out. Any ideas where to look next?
