cleaning A960, splattered ink everywhere

I have been having problems with my A960 printer.

After looking a bit closer, there is a lot of splattered ink everywhere inside.

 Now being a non-technical person, can some one help me with this opperation?

What to clean it with?

I have been using the re-fill kits to re-fill the cartriges. I'm sure I need to buy a new and test that out also. but I can not print with the black ink cartrige, or at times it will give me a "cartrige error".

So, can someone give me some suggestions and or help. I sure would appreaciate it very much.
