color laser 1320c OSX prints blotchy grey instead of black, but Windows works fine.
I have a strange issue that is clearly driver related with my 1320c.
printing from windows, it works beautifully. all colors come out perfectly and the black is an even, dense black.
printing from OSX (mavericks, though using the 10.5 driver, which is the latest OSX driver from Dell), the black prints as a blotchy uneven grey.
has anyone else seen this issue, and if so, was there a solution?

looking closely, i wonder if the windows driver isnt using the black toner to print black in a color image - for the greyscale test i printed, the grey has a blueish cast. the same image printed from the mac, whiole the black is blotchy and doesnt get much darker than 50% grey (the bars after that on the greyscale are indistinguishable), it does look to be a real black rather than the blue-black that the windows driver produces
