printer communication problem
I have a dell laptop model 1720 that runs on Vista. My printer is a Dell 4 in one model 964 and I can't get it to communicate with my laptop. I am using cable, not wireless. I am thinking the printer will not run with Vista. Has anyone else had this problem?

It most certainly works with Vista. There's drivers for it on Dell's website.

Darlene,
Go to control panel, system and look and see if you're using a 32-bit system or a 64-bit system. I have a Dell 964 Printer and as ieee488 stated, yes it does work with all versions on Vista, even work with Windows 7.
Try following the instructions located at...

Then let me know what happens.
