v305 printer won't print in colour from Inspirion 580
I can't get my v305 printer to print in colour from my new Inspirion 580. I know the colour cartridge is fine because the printer can print test pages in colour when I instruct it to do so from the control panel. However, I can't get it to print in colour from Word, office or IE (using Window 7 Home Premium and Office 2010). It was working OK a few weeks ago but I don't know what has gone wrong or how to fix it. I've tried reinstalling the printer drivers but that didn't fix it. I hope someone can advise please.

nz45,
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.
Disconnect the printer.
Uninstall the printer.
Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
With the computer online, insert the printer disk and install the printer. It will ask for updates online. Allow it to happen. At some point it will ask you to connect the printer. Connect the printer at this time(powered on)
Virus programs and firewalls will block communications.

Thanks very much. The issue is solved now and I can once again print in colour from Office.
