Puling reports from Prosphere or directly from VMAX
I am trying to programmatically pull some data from either Prosphere or directly from my VMAX with symcli commands. Before i waste time, is anyone doing this? I know I can open Prosphere and manually pull some data, but I am looking for specific data. How do we access the prosphere db directly or does anyone know the symcli commands to get this data (any good capacity reporting scripts, preferably powershell or vbs). Thanks a bunch!

- Total SATA Capacity
- Total VP %used & free GB

Hi
The Thread is in Prosphere space. I will not be answering much about the symcli commands.
You can use commands like the below in symcli:
symdisk list -sid xxxx -dskgrp_summary
symcfg list -sid xxxx -pool -thin -gb
symconfigure list -v -units MB
Kindly refer EMC® Solutions Enabler Symmetrix® CLI Command Reference guide.
In Prosphere, you can use the rest api to get the values.
Kindly refer EMC ProSphere 1.6 REST API help

I hope this fulfils your requirements.
Regards,
Anand
