Dell dock, mcafee and internet access super slow

Hi just got a inspiron 15 a few days ago and am really pleased with it.

however on startup everything loads quick, files etc. but when it comes to the dell dock, mcafee and accessing the internet I have to wait another 2mins for it to load up.

Why the long delay? do i have to change some settings somewhere?
