Hi jmccyf250,

You may get the above error for the following reasons this can occur for a number of reasons:

  • The computer is not connected to the internet.
  • The computer is behind a firewall and/or requires a proxy login.
  • The Dell Digital Delivery web services are down.

I would like you to check if you are able to connect to any URL in the browser that requires HTTPS, such as https://www.bankofamerica.com/ this will indicate whether or not your machine can create HTTPS connections from your network.

If you can load the https webpage, it may be a problem connecting specifically to Dell website. Please try the following URL in a browser window:

https://cloud.dell.com/ClientServices/Client.svc/v1/Client/Config?r=en

If the computer can successfully connect to this site, you will see an authentication window (from Internet Explorer) (At this point, you can just cancel the authentication dialog.) If you do not get to this prompt, then your firewall settings need to be adjusted.

I can see both links.  So what changes need to be done to a firewall?  What ports need to be opened?  Kind of lame to leave it there without more specific information to assist those who may be behind a proxy at a large corporation.

i´ve got the same Problem.

Behind an Proxy (in my case with Port 8000) , nothing happens with DDD.

Without a Proxy everything`s fine

Greetings
