FastAccess Problem, help!!
Hi, I am writing to you because the Support of dell Israel, cannot help me because they say: they don’t know the software FastAccess, that is the reason I have no case number
I am from Israel, I bought some months ago the laptop dell 1557 with FastAccess and I have installed Microsoft 7
I have 2 problems:
1- I made the set up after I bought the computer, I had a bit of beard (only of some days) and the face recognition worked excellent, but after I shave it didn’t recognize my face anymore. i tried to make the registration many times but still don’t recognizing me
2- After I use Windows Media player or see a PPT file (presentations) (but only after I minimize from full screenin both cases) FastAccess signs me out of my user and request again the password
I need your help as soon as possible
Thank you

shapimati,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
Are you using the WebCam Central software? The software operates differently as specified by Dell. When the Webcam Central is in use, it will automatically disconnect FastAccess from the Integrated Webcam. This will disable all FastAccess functions including the virtual camera, Web Password and all face recognition. When the Webcam Central is closed or the computer is locked, the Webcam Central is supposed to release the Integrated Webcam. As soon as Webcam Central releases the webcam, FastAccess will automatically re-enable all its features.

Jesse is quite accurate and complete in his description of Dell Webcam Central. Thanks!
In this case, however, I think your #2 is more likely the result of running WMP or PowerPoint in "Full Screen" mode. By default, if you're running FastAccess is Continuous Security or User Switcing modes, it will be disabled when a program is run "Full Screen" (note that this is different from running a program maximized). This is meant to enable you to look at a projection screen or to share a movie on your desktop without it locking in the middle of the presentation.
After the program running Full Screen is closed, however, the correct action is to lock to desktop in order to re-confirm your identity. This is a security measure and the correct action to take. Full screen disable can be disabled under the Advanced section if desired.
For #1, be sure that the green square is around your face (and remains around your face even as you type your password) and FastAccess should quickly re-learn you with your new look.
