Hard drive crash and Starter

Hi, I am working on a computer that had a hard drive failure. Due to being unable to use the recovery partition, Office Starter is gone. How can this be recovered to reinstall it? The computer warranty ended in the Fall of 2012.

Hi databit,

Unfortunately once the Office starter is deleted or uninstalled it cannot be restored. You have to buy a full version from Microsoft.

Microsoft removed all the official links to Office 2010 Starter. There are some unofficial links where you may find it however it is in general not worthwhile as Office 2010 Starter is obsolete and superseded by Office Web Apps: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/web-apps

Office WebApps should contain all the functionality of Office 2010 Starter. Ensure that you have Internet Explorer 10 installed and Microsoft Silverlight installed for best user experience:
