Try installing the PowerPoint viewer again, then go to Control Panel and uninstall.

Thanks Allan. Good idea, but it hasn't worked. After installing the viewer again there is not "uninstalling" available in the "Control Panel" for this application.

 

I hope someone from Dell will know how this program was installed.

 

 

Software installations usually look in the registry for info. If you're familiar with regedit, use it to search for PowerPoint Viewer and delete the entry.

I tried that some days ago and something went wrong. Fortunately I could restore the system and the register. Anyway I will make another attempt. I have just found the following link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218. It is written in spanish and it is titled "How to uninstall 2007 Office System when you cannot uninstall through Control Panel options" (more or less).
