Support Center - Passive Marketing

So I got an email this week saying there was an update to Support Center and listing the number one feature as "passive marketing"

Given that support center does very little, it doesn't even check updates for my laptop (not that my laptop gets updates - I still have a very very buggy video driver and no sign of a new one ever being delivered) I wonder what exactly passive marketing is trying to do here? Normally that refers to something that watches what you do and markets accordingly.

Can we get some disclosure on this? What exactly is this new "enhancement"?
