What does dell data vault do?

Hello, I just received my new dell laptop. Checking task manager however, I noticed that SupportAssistagent ate about 500 mb of memory, so I disabled the service. I also noticed several processes that have something to do with Dell Data Vault. The only thing I am able to find about these services is that they collect data for later use, which makes me a bit paranoid. So my question is: what do the Dell data vault services do? Unless they have a clear and useful purpose, I will disable them
