pccheckup.dellfix.com

pccheckup.dellfix.com error message:
Dell PC Checkup will not work on your computer because the computer does not meet one or more of the following requirements:
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP.
Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 and later.
Computer Manufacturer: DELL.
Language: English.
User Mode: Administrator.

I meet ALL these items.  The only thing that has changed from yesterday's successful run is that I downloaded AOL's new Computer Checkup 4.0.  Could this program interfere with  pccheckup.dellfix ?  Is there somthing I can do?

Norman1,

We don't use AOL's Computer Checkup. Remove it, restart, check the Dell PC Checkup application.

Norman1,

I received the same message error and had no idea why this happened (my PC did meet all the noted criteria). I was not able to solve the problem and tried a number of different solutions. Today I was able to fix the problem on my Dell at work.

I went to the web site for the software provider and ran their generic web check product. This required Active X approval, which I allowed. When the check was completed I returned to the Dell brand Web Check Up and YES it worked.

I would follow the previous information that you received but you can go and try for yourself after you have read the available information.

The site is :

Thanks for the info.  I tried to use the fix that you stated, but got an error: "could not validate the file

qdiagg.cai"      This occured as I was downloading the program.   Now, what should I do?

I do not know what this error is and I could not find any information. Perhaps others will read your post and try to help. If you do not receive any replies I would go and seek help in another forum.
