Mounting Dell Servers in a MidAtlantic Rack wtih a 24" installation depth
I am having difficulty mounting servers in this rack. Currently I have to use blank panels to support servers in the rear of rack, however, this makes pulling the out very cumbersome. I am sure I am not the only person with this dilemma. I have 3 1750s, 1 2650, and 1 6650 to install. I ordered them with the dell VersaRails. Will that work, or do I need a different set of rails?

Unfortunately a 24" depth rack just isn't sufficient for computer equipment. Those racks are designed for video applications where the component depths are far less. You will have to rig something up and have the equipment hang out the back of the cabinet.
About the only thing I can think of would to be to strategically place a 2 post relay rack behind your cabinet and level it with the posts inside the cabinet so that you can create a "virtual" cabinet that is deeper that your current setup. The feet of the 2 post relay rack will likely get in the way though so it will be tough. Perhaps you might want to get a quote on some new cabinets and see if replacing them is an economical solution. I calculated the most of the cost in my cabinets is in the accessories and not the base cabinet so it might not be too painful.

Excelent solution. You probably have to sacrifice the rear door but much better than my idea.
