OS Deployment with R430, LCC and Win 2019 ISO fails with SWC0067
Hello,
i tried to upgrade ar430 (24 Cores, 256GB memory and 8x 480GB SSD with H730)
server with a new installation of Windows 2019.
I started the LCC and upgraded all Firmware and Drivers to the latest version viw ftp.
I created a RAID5 with 6 480GB SSD and reboot the server into LCC.
I select a OS Deployment with Windows 2019.
The server prepared everything and asked for the media.
I tried USB Stick (GPT, FAT32), a second stick with (MBR, FAT32) and even a virtual ISO mounted over iDRAC8.
I have always the same error, LCC complains with error SWC0067.
The installation media would be wrong.
The media is from Microsoft with all Windows 2019 Edition in a single WIM file.
Can this be a problem at all?
Next i tried with a manual install.
Now the server is installing with the message "Getting files ready for installation (45%)".
This is taking over 60 minutes right now!
Is there any problem at all?

Hello there juergen.barth,
When deploying an OS through LCC, the most important fw you need to update is the "Dell OS Driver Pack". Can you please check if you have the version 18.12.04. This version does provide support for Microsoft Windows Server 2019.
Then regarding the OS deployment process from Lifecycle Controller. You need to make sure you are following this process:
How to install the operating system on a Dell PowerEdge Server? (OS deployment)
If you are following this process, then it should be ok. But if you are having an error, there is something else we cannot see. Maybe a hardware error. Did you check logs to see if there are any errors?
How went the direct installation process? Did it finish?
Thank you in advanced and regards.

Hi,
i upgraded the OS Driver Pack and was able to select Windows 2019.
But LCC didn´t accepted the Windows Media.
I tried Virtual CD from iDRAC and 2 USB Sticks (One with GPT and one with MBR).
LCC complains that the media is not OK.
I only have Windows 2019 from MS Partner Download, MSDN or MS Eval Images.
The image contains Windows 2019 Std, Std with GUI, Datacenter and DC with GUI.
What is the correct ISO Image i Need?

Is your Microsoft Windows Server 2019 serial code OEM or Retail?

Ok! I asked you this because there is something you can try... you can try to install the Evaluation version and then use a PowerShell command to convert to full version.
Dell PowerEdge: How to Download the Microsoft Windows Server Media / ISO file?
And then the command: Converting a current evaluation version to a current retail version
Best regards.
