Hitachi host settings for Recoverpoint

Is there any documentation available that shows how a Recoverpoint appliance needs to be registered on a Hitachi AMS array?  I need to replicate data using Recoverpoint with a SANTap splitter.  The target site is using a Hitachi AMS2300 array but I cannot find any documentation which shows the settings when registering the RPAs on the AMS.

Thanks for the quick reply.  Do you know if there is any documentation that shows these are the settings?  I am curious why they would use Windows when Recoverpoint is running Linux.  Also, is there any difference between Windows cluster and just regular Windows.  Should we use Windows cluster (and not plain Windows) settings for Recoverpoint since it is also a cluster? Thanks again.

There is no official documentation in relation to this requirement. The Windows 2003/2008 cluster or Windows 2003/2008 setting is accepted as a safe setting in respect of SCSI and SCSI-Fibre settings for the RPAs as a connecting host to a 3rd part array. Yes the OS is LINUX on the RPAs but no dount your aware of the different flavours of LINUX and the possibility that array vendors may use different SCSI and SCSI-Fibre settings because of this. There is a strong possibility that if you used the LINUX setting that you may not experience issues, however the Windows 2003/2008 cluster or Windows 2003/2008 is the more general safer option.

Set the OS type to Windows 2003/2008 cluster or Windows 2003/2008.
