How to replace a RPA Gen4 (Procedure)

Hi All,

this is a RecoveryPoint system managed by 2 x RPA clusters and performed through the RPA Clusters interface.

One of RPA is failed and we have to replace it, so What is the procedure to do that?

Would it be a matter of rewiring both network cable and fibers, configuring the cluster again, and we would have to create new zones on the switch?

Thanks in advanced,

Regards.

Hi Cristian,

The procedure is covered in the Dell EMC SolVE application but also in the RP Installation and Deployment Guide. In respect of the WWNs, you can choose to use the fake WWNs option whereby the existing WWNs are applied to the new replacment RPA. If you have an RP/SE deployment (for use with VNX arrays, no more than one per clsuter and no more than two clusters) you have to use this option.

Hi Rich,

thank you very much for your reply, at this moment I'm unable to find "RP Installation and Deployment Guide",

Do you have this document or a link to get it?

Thanks in advance,

Regards.
