Migrate from GEN3 RP to GEN5 RP
How do you migrate from a GEN3 cluster of RPA's to GEN5 RPA's non-disruptively?

Ensure your RP code is at 3.4 SP4 and perform an RPA replacement of the Gen3 RPAs with the Gen5 RPAs using Deployment Manager in conjunction with EMC CS.

Correction. This would qualify as a EMC Customer Service activity but an EMC Global Services engagement.
Yes the Gen5 RPA need to be preloaded with 3.4 SP4 before the swap. After the swap you can upgrade to the target version of 3.5 and then if necessary upgrade again to the target version of 4.0.

Thank you for this informaiton. I have a few questions just to make sure I
understand what you are saying.
When you say EMC CS are you referring to EMC Customer Service?
I replace the GEN3 RPA's one at a time and make sure that each GEN5 RPA
that I add to the cluster has the 3.4SP4 code on it also?
When I replace all of the GEN3 RPAs inthe cluster at both source and target
locations I upgrade them all to RP4 software?
