RP4VM How to modify WAN IP settings?
Hi All,
I would like to know if there's some easy way to modify the WAN settings of the vRPA once they are joined to a cluster.
If I try accessing https://vrpa_ip_address and then I choose "modify network settings", the WAN settings appears greyed out.
If I login by SSH, I have to re-enter most settings just to reach the WAN IP settings.
Any help is more than welcome!

Hi Vincent,
What you're seeing in the Web-based Deployer is expected as only specific settings can be changed with it. In the next version of RP4VMs, all modifications would be possible through the Deployer.
Until then, you can use Deployment Manager to change the WAN IPs or through the bomxmgmt CLI. As for your comment, you shouldn't need to enter all settings manually, you can hit ENTER and accept the default in case of settings you don't need to change.

Yes, I noted that. Only that I get an error when I reach the WAN settings
by cli.
By the way, using Deployment Manager didn't work for me, when using
web-based deployment manager it Just work, im able to create the cluster.
I'm using the DM that comes with the installation kit, but Im not sure if
thats the right one, is it the same as for RecoverPoint SE? Or there's one
exclusively for R4VMS?
I Just asked that because I dont see anything related to "vm" on the main
screen.

It's not the same one as traditional RP, there's a dedicated DM especially for RP4VMs - that's relevant until versions 4.3.1.x and including.
Can you share the name of the ZIP file of the DM you're trying to use ?

Thanks for your quick response.
You were right, I was using an incorrect DM. Looks like I was using the one
that's not for R4VM. They look almost identical.
Still, not able to change the WAN settings by running the right DM. It
mention that the RPA was in a cluster and not able to change settings.
The best thing I did was to deploy the OVF once again, run DM for VMs and
create the cluster once again.
Despite of that, I think there should be an easy way to change cluster
settings.

There is an easier way, it's through DM and Deployer in the near future (Deployer can perform some modifications in 4.3.1). What you're experiencing looks like an issue, perhaps the cluster is in maintenance mode or a modifications failure, etc. A new install is definitely NOT required for this sort of change.
Let's continue to troubleshoot this one via email. Please contact me when you can.
