Rp4VM and vROPS/vRealize
Hello All,
"After failover, the production and copy virtual machine change roles, but the names do not change. Therefore, after failover, the new production virtual machine will still be .copy and the new copy virtual machine name will still be ."
Can we rename the production copy to just YourVMName?.
We do not want VM's in vCenter with a .copy extension added and want to remove it.
Also we are implementing vROPS/vRealize for automation/monitoring etc. The concern is that if display name in vCenter changes it will affect these products. Will it?
Anyone else faced such queries/concerns?
Thanks and Regards
Raghav

Yes, you can rename the VM without the .copy suffix.
